Maurizio, a man of principle

Warning: The following will be a waste of time

Well Maurizio has decided to make today a Rae Day. While we find this interesting, we find Maurizio's consistency on personal values to be the most interesting of all. After all, Maurizio is supporting Bob Rae, the man who was determined at the start of this race to Unite the Left, as well as speaking of the need to pool all the left leaning individuals under the same party

And Maurizio has always been consistent on this point, numerously commenting that "Now, we already have some candidates in this race who are saying that the key to renewal of the Liberal Party of Canada is to unite the left. I don't buy it. I think the key to our success is uniting the Liberal Party of Canada,", after all Maurizio takes no lessons from the NDP on how to govern or how to run the economy.

In closing, we say kudos to Maurizio in retaining his strong right wing values, where money talks and personal values walk.

The End of Time

Warning: The following will be a waste of time

We know that many individuals are worried about whether we are approaching the end of time. Indeed, scientific indicators show us that we are nearing the tribulation. And now, thanks to a fellow blogger we realize how the end of times are going to transpire. A quick recap for all concerned readers, the following countries and groups will be destroyed in the following order

1) Israel
2) Gays and Women (granted we think that this stage will eliminate human reproduction, so the destroyers could stop at this stage and just slowly suck the life out of planet earth, but we digress)
3) Christians
4) Other Muslims
5) Then "Arad" ( I think these are Arab nations)
6) Europe
7) South East Asia (With the help of all living Indonesian Radicals (obviously male, please see stage 2 of the operation)
8) Then North America

The positive news for straight men is that they will be safe in: Antartica, Australia, Africa and South America. The unfortunate thing for straight men is that they will have to survive without the companionship of women, although these men can always hope that God will take one of their ribs and make a woman out of it. It also seems to me that NE Asia, NW Asia and SW Asia are safe as well. Australia may be turbulent, given the proximity to SE Asia, but that being said, men should still be safe in that part of the world.

We hope that all men prepare for the inevitable end of time, or in the alternative, cheer quite loudly for Israel

Bathtubs, the real terrorists

Warning - The following will be a waste of time.

This is our second post for the world wide web, and it is concerning the growing epidemic problem in the United States, and in all likelihood Canada. We know many of you may believe that we are speaking of the evils of terrorism, given the scrutiny that terrorism is put under on the daily evening news. But that is not the problem friends, rather the problem facing us is, shockingly, bathtub drowning. We knows that many loyal readers may find it shocking, that on average, over the past 10 years, more individuals have died from bathtub drowning, then from domestic terrorism. Indeed, the number of Americans killed by terrorism since the late 1960's is about the same as the number killed by either lightning, deer or peanuts. So the question begs to be asked, what is your government doing to prevent you from dying from any of these life-threatening weapons of mass destruction?

We know what our government is doing to prevent terrorism, they are going to Afghanistan, they are going to Iraq, we are fighting them there so they are not fighting us here. We know that we originally went to Afghanistan because of the war on terror and to prevent terrorism from reaching our hallowed shores. By September of 2005, it was estimated that the war in Afghanistan cost 66 Billion dollars for the US government, and the war in Iraq cost 186 Billion dollars. It is estimated that if both wars last another five years, the total cost will be 1.4 Trillion Dollars for the US government (this is including interest on the debt, veterans benefits, medical costs).

Canada has spent 4.2 Billion dollars on the war on terror in Afghanistan. Recently, the purpose of the war in Afghanistan has changed to spreading freedom, peace and democracy in the region. Unfortunately, that is not the original reason for why we went there, we changed course in the region, ala Cheney/Rumsfeld/Wolfowitz. This report has various numbers that should be of interest to any Canadian who feels that Canada has a role to play in the world outside of American lapdog.

So we know what the government is doing to prevent terrorism (always keeping in mind that these numbers only reflect costs in Afghanistan, perhaps at a later date I will post internal domestic costs). But what is your government doing to prevent you from dying in your bathtub, from peanuts or from deer? These are the pressing questions that need to be asked. Is there a way that we can fight the deer there so they are not fighting us here? Can we put fences up on every highway? What program is there to ensure there is less lightning? Can we outright ban peanuts?

The real question that Canadians should ask is how much should we spend to ensure that something that already has a very low probability of happening has an even lower probability? Perhaps we should put boots in the bathtubs and prevent something that affects Canadians everyday?

My contribution to the Blogging Community

Warning - The following will be a waste of time.

Hello from anyidiotcanhaveablog@blogspot.com. The following is our seminal post, our first foray into the blogsphere if you will. This site will be working in collaboration with our sister company, AI Strategies, a media and communications organization, to provide you, our valued reader, with our BS opinions, almost none-of-which have any factual basis. From time-to-time, anyidiotcanhaveablog@blogspot.com will not be online, this will only be when we are writing policy platforms for Liberal leadership candidates, whether it be immigration or perhaps a middle-east peace proposal (although we are not losing much sleep over that). That being said, the following is our mission statement as bloggers

1) We find blogging, as a general rule, to be useless ramblings by uninformed individuals with access to computers. As a general rule, they are simply ill-informed opinions, often by individuals with an inflated sense of self-purpose. In this grand tradition of blogging, anyidiotcanhaveablog@blogspot.com is joining the community

2) We believe that Liblogs in general, will have virtually no effect on the upcoming Liberal leadership race. Musings such as the following "useless crap that will not effect the race" make us chuckle, as it will not amount to much on election day for the Liberal leadership. This race will be won the traditional way, by the individual who has the best ground game.

3) Point Two aside, we are still Liberals and would like to participate in Libblogs. While this may seem inconsistent to some, we believe that Libblogs must be an inclusive community, in the strong sense of Liberal inclusion starting with Rainmaker v. Apps in 82, and continuing on through Turner v. Whelan, through Chretien and culminating in Martin. We must all be included. We hope to be included by Liblogs

4) In recognition of the fact that no one cares about what we think, we will put the following disclaimer at the beginning of every post "Warning - The following will be a waste of time".

5) We will attempt to limit our comments to two key areas of concern: 1) Lou Dobbs for President and 2) The Liberal Leadership Race. We maintain the right to critique all other blogs, as we find blogging to be a waste of time, and wish to demonstrate this by presenting our uninformed opinions to contradict other blogs misguided opinions.

6) We maintain the right, regardless of point five, to post on other matters at our discretion, in the true sense of blogging, as per Point One, always being mindful of the rule in Point 4. Also in keeping with the tradition of blogging, we will eventually post our choice for leader of the Liberal Party.

We would like to thank our readers for wasting their time reading our site. We hope you waste more of your time and continue to read our site.
